Craig A. Crandall

Craig A. Crandall, CPA has been a Financial Analyst with Berning & Heidebrecht since 2001.  Craig supports management in business valuation consulting services and litigation support services related to estate planning, marital dissolution, mergers and acquisitions, damage and lost profit calculations, and management planning.  Craig has experience in performing financial analysis and financial modeling, including cash flow forecasting and data analytics.

Craig was designated as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from August 2008 through March 2020.  He voluntarily elected to inactivate his CVA credential in March 2020, but continues to be a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analyst (NACVA).

Craig also has several years of individual income tax experience through his own tax practice and seasonal employment with a large public accounting firm.  Occasionally he volunteers to prepare income taxes for low income individuals through Prepare + Prosper, an organization dedicated to providing free tax preparation and financial services to qualified customers.

Prior to joining Berning & Heidebrecht, Craig was an analyst in the Minneapolis/St. Paul healthcare industry for nearly seven years where he prepared annual budgets and forecasts, variance analysis, and Medicare/Medicaid cost reports for several hospitals.  Craig also served as an internal auditor for a healthcare system located in St. Louis, Missouri for nearly five years.

Craig graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting with a minor in economics from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
